Scottsbluff Knife — Washington County, Utah
One of the most premier pieces of flint to come through Barn Burner Relics — a Scottsbluff knife from Washington County, Utah, St. George area, inscribed on the face in collector ink: "ST. GEORGE / WASHINGTON CO. / UTAH."
The material is a vividly banded flint — cream, tan, gray, and warm brown with a striking agate-eye ring figure in the lower face and thin quartz veining — combined with prehistoric craftsmanship that marks this as a piece of Cody Complex excellence. Fine, regular flaking runs both edges of the lanceolate form.
Provenance chain: E.K. Petrie → Mel Wilkins → Tom Amble → Bob Converse → Jim Crawford → Bob Roth → Barn Burner Relics. Six named collections — the kind of documented ownership history most pieces never accumulate.
